We have been in a long battle with Revenue Canada to be registered as a non-profit organization who is able to issue tax receipts to individuals and companies who donate to this event. Unfortunately, we were not approved because this organization donates all of the profits to individuals. Revenue Canada rules do not allow cash to be donated to individuals. We have had non-profit organizations and their lawyers assist us in this battle, but were unsuccessful.

We stand behind Rajan's philosophy of helping people and we will continue to do that. All donations are out of good will. We would rather raise less money and help those in need, instead of raising more with tax receipts and donating to agencies.
